Collection: Milano Finishes: White Lacatto (Matte) + Pecky Cypress Kitchen By Marquis Fine Cabinetry

Marquis loves how the focal point of this warm and inviting kitchen is not the custom hood, but the large cypress dining room table. Our goal is to build a kitchen concept around the main function of a homeowner’s lifestyle. Clearly, this homeowner values quality time with family. You can also see the value in antique furniture pieces as the china cupboard was the inspiration for the design of this beautiful kitchen which will create more memories. Read below to explore more of the features and finishes that brought this kitchen to life.

Kitchen Design

The finish of the White Lacatto (matte white) cabinets are so simple, yet makes this kitchen one of a kind. The goal was to highlight the warmth in the natural wood floors, dining room table and family antique china cupboard. Marquis’ designer, Sean Moore, and Urban Grace’s, Haley Eberhart, were able to do so by using Pecky Cypress accents for the floating shelves and the trim of the custom hood. This really brings your eyes up and naturally blends the two styles together. The cabinetry design didn’t want to distract from the ornate table and china cupboard, so the choice of going with Marquis’ Milano Collection was smart. it allowed to keep the lines clean, yet still modern and not distracting. The oil rubbed bronze hardware creates a nice contrast against the white matte cabinetry and brings out the graining in the natural wood throughout.

Butler’s Pantry

This large butler’s pantry carried the White Lacatto Milano cabinets in here as well for a stream line, connected aesthetics. The main point of this room was to take advantage of the storage. Since the kitchen is a single wall with minimum uppers, Marquis wanted to make storage smart in the pantry. This was done by using lots of kitchen organization options: Chrome Tray Dividers, Maple Peg Drawer System, Maple Utility Tray Insert, Maple Cutlery Tray Insert and Blind Corner Pullout. This will make it easy for the homeowner to store all their cooking supplies for entertaining their large family.

Wet Bar

Since the wet bar was in a different area in the house, the color palette was flipped. Instead of matte white cabinets, Negro Ingo (matte black) was used instead. The design concept was still left bright and open with the white countertops, backsplash and open floating shelves done in White Lacatto (same as the kitchen). The natural browns were still highlighted in this room with the antique bronzed hardware knobs. This design incorporates a nice sized wine cooler and lots of under cabinet storage. The soft under cabinet lighting showcases the owner’s beautiful stemware and seasonal decorations.
